Tehsil Day in Aligarh Brings Swift Administrative Action on Public Grievances

Aligarh’s Kol Tehsil hosted a Tehsil Day programme where Commissioner Sangeeta Singh heard 55 public grievances, resolved five cases on the spot, and directed officials to fast-track pending matters. The event also included blanket distribution to support the needy.

Aligarh witnessed a focused push for grassroots governance as a Tehsil Day programme held at Kol Tehsil brought senior officials face to face with citizens to address long-pending public grievances. The initiative underscored the administration’s effort to ensure accountability and timely resolution of issues affecting local residents.

The programme was chaired by Commissioner Sangeeta Singh, who personally listened to complaints raised by participants from various areas of the tehsil. A total of 55 grievances were formally presented during the proceedings, reflecting concerns ranging from routine administrative matters to more pressing civic issues. Of these, five cases were resolved on the spot, offering immediate relief to the complainants and demonstrating the effectiveness of direct administrative engagement.

Commissioner Singh directed concerned officials to expedite action on the remaining cases, emphasizing the need for prompt and transparent resolution of pending matters. She instructed departments to treat unresolved complaints with priority and ensure that applicants are kept informed about progress, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to responsive governance.

Beyond grievance redressal, the programme also carried a humanitarian dimension. Blankets were distributed to destitute and vulnerable individuals during the event, providing assistance amid the prevailing cold weather and highlighting the administration’s focus on social welfare alongside administrative duties.
